Welcome to the National Adoption Day Media Center. On November 16, 2005, the National Adoption Day Coalition released a new research report – “Foster Care Adoption in the United States: An Analysis of Interest in Adoption and a Review of State Recruitment Strategies.” The analysis, conducted by the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C., looks more closely at women interested in adopting children and innovative strategies select states utilize to identify adoptive families for children in foster care.
