plan an event!
By planning a National Adoption Day event, you are helping to change the lives of children and adoptive families forever and raise awareness about foster children in need of permanent families. By planning an event on National Adoption Day itself, you will help to multiply the efforts of others like yourself in communities across the country. The more communities joining in National Adoption Day, the greater the impact the effort will have in the news media, which will result in many more people learning about the importance of adopting children from foster care.

National Adoption Day has a variety of resources to help you with every step of planning an event in your community. To begin planning your event, review the goals and step-by-step timeline below, and then use the Toolkits provided to plan your event and start your outreach to the media.

Please check back in the spring for information about National Adoption Day 2007.
