National Adoption Day has made the dreams of thousands of children come true by working with policymakers, practitioners and advocates to finalize adoptions and find permanent, loving homes for children in foster care.
National Adoption Day strives to influence policymakers to create policy and practice to support adoption of children from foster care. As a collective effort, National Adoption Day celebrations across the country will generate public awareness of the need for foster care adoption and move Americans to action through becoming advocates, adopting or donating to support foster care adoption in their community. This year National Adoption Day will be on November 21, 2009.
