New Hampshire National Adoption Day

Event Details:

We will have our annual National Adoption Day celebration at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (formerly the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium) on Nov. 15. Sponsored by the New Hampshire Division for Children, Youth and Families, this event will include snack/beverages and several guest speakers, including an adoptive family. Families will have a pass for all the exhibits at the Discovery Center; and the first 100 to RSVP will receive tickets to the planetarium show. Last year 150 people attended. We have Fiesta teddy bears for the kids attending. We do not finalize adoptions at this event, but celebrate all adoptions that have occurred in the previous federal fiscal year (Oct 2011 through Sept. 2012).
