Onondaga County and the Fifth Judicial District of the State of New York will hold its annual National Adoption Day Ceremony. Over the last 13 years, this free public event has grown from 20 people in a small courtroom to an event center that attracts over 700 people and finalizes over 70 adoptions. Our event is focused on celebrating adoptive and foster parents while providing the public with information to adopt or foster a child in our community. Our event includes tables of over a dozen local adoption/ foster agencies, local Sheriff's Department making ID cards for newly adopted children, a photographer taking the first family photo and this year, RONALD MCDONALD from McDonalds Restaurants! Every child attending has something to enjoy from the free coloring books and crayons to balloons to Cheerios and of course cake! We strive every year to make our event bigger and better and every year, we succeed with the support of our community, please join us this year in the fight to find EVERY CHILD A FOREVER HOME! See you in November.
