On one day a year since 2000, courts across the United States have opened their doors to celebrate National Adoption Day and connect thousands of children waiting in U.S. foster care with loving families. National Adoption Day is a time to raise awareness about the children who need permanent homes and an opportunity to celebrate all families that adopt nationwide.
National Adoption Day is sponsored by a coalition dedicated to improving the lives of children, including The Alliance for Children’s Rights, The Annie E. Casey Foundation/Casey Family Services, Children’s Action Network, The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and the Freddie Mac Foundation.
