National Adoption Day 2013

As November quickly approaches, we’re getting excited about National Adoption Day. Observed annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, National Adoption Day will be celebrated across the nation on November 23, 2013. Thank you for your dedication and hard work to raise awareness of the more than 100,000 children in foster care waiting to find permanent, loving families. Your combined efforts have made the dreams of thousands of children come true each year.

National spokesperson

Rachel Crow, The X Factor standout, Nickelodeon star and Columbia Records recording artist, will serve as spokesperson for National Adoption Day. Crow,15, was adopted from foster care as an infant after being removed from an unsafe and unhealthy situation. Her family later expanded to include her sister, Hannah, also adopted from foster care. Her love, optimism and achievements can show children who are often facing their darkest days that hope is possible. She shows them every day that they should never give up on their dreams.

Event registration

Please remember to register your event. If you already have an account, please click on “Sign in” at the top of any page and use your login information from last year (or, if you forgot your password, just request a new one). One Day Project

On just one day, you can make a difference…you can help a child find a home. The National Adoption Day Coalition created the One Day Project to share with the thousands of waiting children and families what this “one day” feels like. Do you have a story to share? Click here to submit your own video or text story to give hope to waiting children and encourage others to adopt.
