National Adoption Day 2013
Thanksgiving came early this year for many deserving children and families. Thanks to your dedication and hard work, approximately 4,500 children in foster care were adopted by their forever families on National Adoption Day! Events were celebrated in hundreds of cities across the country and millions of people learned about the need for adoption from foster care. This annual one-day event has made the dreams of nearly 50,000 of children come true through the efforts of policymakers, practitioners and advocates to finalize adoptions and create and celebrate adoptive families since it was founded in 2000. Visit our Facebook and Twitter pages for news highlights from around the country.
