The National Adoption Day Coalition is pleased to announce Victoria Rowell will serve as a 2009 National Adoption Day spokesperson. Rowell currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and will support National Adoption Day activities around the area on November 21.

National Adoption Day 2008 Places More Than 4,000 Foster Care Children In Permanent, Loving Homes

Judges Joseph M. Lauria and Anthony Trendacosta presided over the adoptions of 368 children and their new families at the Queens Family Court in Jamaica, New York, and at the Edmund D. Edelman Children's Court in Los Angeles on November 15 for National Adoption Day, an annual nationwide celebration of foster care adoption.

National Adoption Day Announces 2008 Date Change

Out of respect for the nation's remembrance of the 45th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, the National Adoption Day Coalition elected to move the celebration of National Adoption Day this year only to the Saturday prior.
