Share your story of how one day can change the lives of thousands of children waiting in foster care for their forever family. Was it the day you decided to consider foster care adoption, the day you were matched with a child, the day your child moved into your home, the day your adoption was finalized, or the one day your child realized this was her forever family? Upload your video to YouTube, complete the form below, and we will review your submission and post it on this site. Also, please feel free to share your written story.
Submission Guidelines
- Please submit only one video under four minutes in length.
- You must have a valid YouTube account to upload your video to YouTube.
- Please shoot the video in a quiet location so the sound is clear.
- Remember, you want the light in front of you, not behind you.
- Please title and tag your video so others can find it on YouTube. Use the title “One Day” and include your name and location – such as, “One Day – Smith Family in Manhattan.” Also, use tags to describe your video such as “One Day Project,” “foster care adoption,” “National Adoption Day” and “Manhattan family adoption story.”
- Please do not use the National Adoption Day logo in your video.
