Debra DeBerry, Clerk of Superior Court, DeKalb County, GA will host DeKalb Adoption Day as part of National Adoption Month. This Adoption Day Ceremony, celebrating and finalizing forever family adoptions, will take place in-person, on Friday, November 20, 2026, DeKalb County Courthouse, 556 N. McDonough Street, Decatur, GA 30030 beginning at 12:00 p.m. EST.
November is recognized as National Adoption Month. The purpose of National Adoption Month is to focus attention on children in the Child Welfare system that are in foster care and are waiting to be adopted. National Adoption Day is Saturday, November 21, 2026.
Our Guest Speaker will be Cathy Richardson, former Adoptee and Owner of Stone Mountain, GA Chick-fil-A.
