Debra DeBerry, Clerk of Superior Court, DeKalb County, GA will host DeKalb Adoption Day on Friday, November 19, 2021, as part of National Adoption Month. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the DeKalb Adoption Day Ceremony, celebrating and finalizing forever family adoptions, will take place virtually via Zoom, beginning at 12:00 p.m. EST.
November is recognized as National Adoption Month. The purpose of National Adoption Month is to focus attention on children in the Child Welfare system that are in foster care and are waiting to be adopted. National Adoption Day is Saturday, November 20, 2021.
The Honorable Judge Gregory A. Adams and the Honorable Judge Shondeana Morris will be hearing the adoptions on this day with Guest Speaker, James B. Outman, Esq.
