On Nov. 18, 2023, KVC Kansas will help facilitate 34 children’s adoptions while celebrating National Adoption Day. This annual awareness day highlights the critical role that adoption plays in creating lasting connections for youth in foster care. In the entire month of November, KVC will celebrate a total of 54 adoptions!
KVC Kansas invites media representatives to join in celebrating National Adoption Day and observe adoption finalizations, interview adoptive families, and shed light on the children still waiting for an adoptive family. Join KVC for the following events:

200 SE 7th St., Topeka, KS
Topeka’s event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. as attendees gather on the courthouse steps. Judge Penny Moylan will give a brief welcome, followed by a celebration where attendees will toss wildflowers into the air to mark the occasion before the first adoption hearings begin at 9 a.m.
