On Thursday, November 20, 2025, Imperial County Department of Social Services will honor National Adoption Day, a special occasion that shines a spotlight on adoptive families and brings attention to the thousands of children in foster care across the United States still waiting for their forever homes. This event serves as a reminder of the collective, ongoing efforts of policymakers, advocates, and the community in making a lasting difference in the lives of children through adoption.
Since November 2024, sixteen children have found permanent homes in Imperial County, and we are thrilled to announce that number is expected to rise to twenty by the end of November 2025. This progress reflects the commitment and heart of our community in ensuring that every child has the chance to thrive in a loving, permanent family.
Imperial County Department of Social Services invites all community members to consider the life-changing journey of adoption and open their hearts and homes to children in need. Every child deserves the love and security of a permanent family, and your commitment could make all the difference in their future. If you are ready to learn more about adoption, please contact Imperial County Department of Social Services. Together we can create a brighter future for children in our community.
